Atoll IN300SE: DSD-compatible DAC
Atoll did things very well with the Atoll Electronique IN300 Integrated Amplifier. Not content with installing the star of DACs, the Asahi Kasei Velvet AK4490, the French manufacturer has associated it with quality S/PDIF and USB controllers. Better still, the software part of the XMOS USB controller has been specifically developed for the AmplI’s AKM DAC. DSD signals are thus supported from any Mac OS and Windows computer (driver to download for free). A Bluetooth receiver is present, connected to a specific Burr Brown PCM5102 DAC operating in I2S mode (high quality).
Atoll IN300SE: double mono and enormous current capacity
TheAtoll Electronique IN300 Integrated Amplifier benefits from a symmetrical diagram and uses discrete components for its preamplification and output stages, in particular Mos-Fet transistors (2 pairs per channel). These electronic chips have always been renowned for their great musicality, in particular their ability to deliver robust and fluid sound. The Atoll IN300 SE stereo integrated amplifier is also equipped with two 440 VA toroidal transformers and a current capacity of more than 86,000 µF. If these figures do not necessarily speak for themselves, they express the ability of the amp to keep pace at high volume and in the low register, especially when the speakers have a low impedance. By comparison, the Atoll IN300 SE amplifier has a much higher current capacity than most multi-channel home cinema amplifiers: that is to say that its design is serious.
The Atoll IN300 SE stereo amplifier develops up to 2×150 watts into 8 ohms – and 2×260 watts into 4 ohms – from bass to treble. It also benefits from electronic protection and switches off automatically if its capacities were to be exceeded. It can therefore be associated with distorted impedance speakers with confidence. The Atoll IN300 SE stereo hi-fi amplifier has 6 stereo analog inputs, 5 digital, a headphone output and two pre-out outputs for power amp or active subwoofer.
The Atoll Electronique IN300 Integrated Amplifier can be combined with the Atoll CD200 SE-2 CD player to form a coherent whole. Musicality and pleasure guaranteed.
