HiFi Presents to get for Father’s Day, make a suprise that provides epic music.
Father’s Day is less then 2 weeks away here in New Zealand. We thought we would give some suggestions on what to get for that special father-figure in your life. If you are a Father here are some great items to add the ‘wish list’ or do you have a person in your life that loves movies and music? Here are some super gift ideas.
Suggested are some simple no-brainer purchases like a budget pair of amazing headphones, or a great sounding wireless speaker. Or give Dad a fun DIY project installing some in-ceiling speakers for multiroom audio, or give him the tools to start building their own HiFi system!
Audio Pro C10
Rapallo’s go-to office speaker. We think Dad will love the design and finish of this speaker. It comes in 3 colours in a elegant clean look. But what’s most important is the amazing sound it produces. Just read the reviews for all Audio Pro speakers, they consistently get full marks. With all the wireless sources like Spotify, TIDAL, Tune In Radio, Deezer, Quobuz, iHeart Radio, and NAS playback. Great connectivity with Amazon Alexa for the smart home. It’s the best wireless speaker out there!
Getting 5 stars from What HiFi says a lot. Claiming it has an expert sense of timing and dynamics, more spacious presentation than any rival. The only negative of this speaker is that there is nothing on the market at the same price! See full review
Systemline E50 Package
An excellent gift for Dad is the Systemline E50 Package. This system gives you a pair of great sounding Q Acoustic in-ceiling speakers, and an amplified touchpad. That’s right just install this touchpad into the wall, all Dad needs to do it get a single power point inside the wall and use the provided speaker cable to reach where the speakers will be in the ceiling. Everything they need is in the box, speaker cable and mounting box. The killer feature of the touchpad is the bluetooth functionality and the gesture control. Wave your hand in-front of the unit and pause, play, skip and change the volume! Now that’s high tech.
ARCAM SA10
The ARCAM SA10 is their newest class A/B integrated amplifier. And it sounds incredible.
Testing this amplifier out in the showroom we must say the power and dynamics that speaker product through the SA10 is breathtaking. This is a solid all in one amplifier as an upgrade or to build an awesome system upon. It has a flurry of inputs, with a network connection to control the amp via the ARCAM remote control app. 5 analogue inputs including phono, 3 digital inputs, 32-bit DAC,Sabre ESS9016K2M. One awesome feature we just noticed is the SA10’s ability to go into processor mode.
This means you can use this amp as a power amp for one of the chosen analogue inputs. You can use this amp to power the front 2 channels in the home theatre if the AVR has preouts. Hearing class A/B amplification over the usual class D brings noticeable (not just subtle) audible improvements. We highly recommend coming in the showroom to have a listen.

AudioQuest Cobalt
Lastly you could get Dad the latest AudioQuest Dragonfly Cobalt DAC. If they already own a ‘grunty’ pair of headphones this USB DAC would be a great addition to their set up. This multi-purpose DAC can be a standalone DAC for a complete HiFi 2 channel system, or a portable phone powered DAC. In the box are some really thoughtful accessories, you get a leather pouch for the USB DAC and a USB type-C converter to use with the latest android phones. What is really impressive is the fact that AudioQuest supply voucher code to new TIDAL users can make use of a 2 month TIDAL HIFI trial. A great little freebee for customers wanting to try out MQA for an extended 2 month period rather than than the standard 1 month trial.
