Uncompromised Sound Quality With Two ES90219MQ And XMOS XUF316 Chips
The FiiO BTR15 has undergone a significant upgrade at its core, featuring two ESS SABRE ES9219MQ DAC chips that offer improved decoding performance compared to the previous generation.
These chips also provide a higher signal-to-noise ratio and lower power consumption. The audio architecture is further enhanced by the integration of a 16-core XMOS XUF316 control chip.
With this chip, the BTR15 can perform asynchronous audio decoding, supporting a maximum sampling rate of 384kHz and native DSD via USB 2.0. Additionally, it offers Asynchronous USB DAC support for 384kHz sampling rates and native DSD256 decoding.

Incorporating the updated Qualcomm QCC5125 chip into the FiiO BTR15 offers significant advantages, including enhanced audio capabilities and lower power consumption.
This chip enables the BTR15 to decode 24-bit audio in Bluetooth mode. It supports various high-resolution Bluetooth formats like LDAC, aptX Adaptive, aptX LL, aptX HD, aptX, AAC, and SBC, with sampling rates of up to 96kHz.

Experience Powerful Amplification With Dual Output Connectors
FiiO engineers developed an independent power supply system for the BTR15’s DAC ES9219MQ, ensuring a cleaner power source.
The external power supply, designed for low noise and high current, enhances the BTR15’s balanced output power by 40% to 340 mW, perfect for portable use. The BTR15 offers both 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced headphone outputs, boosting contact reliability.
These dual outputs support various headphones, elevating your listening experience. Even if you’re not using the 4.4mm balanced output, FIIO connected the headphone outputs in parallel to enhance the 3.5mm single-ended output’s power, making it ideal for driving low-impedance headphones and unleashing their potential. NOTE : It is advised to use DC 5V 2A to charge your BTR15.

The BTR15 incorporates a global parametric equaliser (PEQ) offering precision sound customisation. Utilising FiiO’s proprietary PEQ algorithm and user-friendly interface, you can adjust specific frequencies, gain levels, and bandwidth to finely tune your sound in any mode to meet your preferences.
Note that in BT mode, PEQ adjustments are achieved through the QCC5125 DSP, supporting LDAC and other Bluetooth formats up to 96kHz/24bit, while in PC and Phone mode, PEQ adjustments happen via the XMOS XU316 with support for up to PCM 192kHz.
Comprehensive Battery Protection And Built-In Temperature Sensor

In USB DAC mode, when connected to a computer for extended periods, the BTR15 intelligently prevents battery charging and relies on the computer’s power source to avoid battery wear.
Additionally, the device’s robust, high-temperature-resistant battery enhances durability under challenging thermal conditions. A built-in temperature sensor offers dynamic monitoring, adjusting charging currents based on temperature to safeguard the battery from heat-related damage.
