Description
Atoll Electronique AM400 Evolution Power Amplifier
The Atoll Electronique AM400 Evolution Power Amplifier uses four pairs of MOSFET transistors per channel. Its discrete component electronic stages have been redesigned to make the unit insensitive to capacitive loads. Power output is increased to 170 W / 8 Ω, and the signal-to-noise ratio to 105 dB.
High-quality MKP coupling capacitors are shielded, contributing to preserving sonic fidelity. The interconnect cables between the motherboard and the speaker outputs are made of pure, oxygen-free copper, silver-plated with Teflon insulation. The low-series-resistance filter capacitors are custom-made by a world-renowned specialist.

CONNECTIVITY
Audio inputs:
- 1 stereo XLR input.
- 1 stereo line input.
- 1 12V trigger input.
Audio outputs:
- 1 stereo line output.
- Tellurium copper speaker outputs.
The tellurium copper speaker output terminals were selected for their ability to transmit all the energy and micro-details of the electrical signal without alteration.
The polypropylene film coupling capacitors were chosen by listening tests from the high-end series of leading manufacturers. In bridged mono mode, the energy gain is enormous: this operation is suitable for any system requiring high power.
The differential structure circuit allows this transformation to occur without altering the nuances of musicality; the gain in “sonic substance” makes the listening experience even more realistic.
