Rapallo 1.8m Optical Cable
The Rapallo 1.8m Optical Cable is fitted with standard Toslink (sometimes referred to as SPDIF) connectors. They are used to send a digital audio signal from one device to another. One example of this would be sending a DTS audio signal from your DVD player to your receiver.

Two Connections that are widely used for connecting Digital Audio
- Coaxial RCA: Cable and connectors are 75 ohm impedance and used to connect DVD players, Compact Disk (CD) and some DAT recorders to multi channel surround sound (Dolby Digital, DTS, etc) equipment.
- Toslink is a fiber optic version of the coaxial digital audio connection and is used in the same applications as coax. Most newer equipment has a Toslink optical connection.

IMPORTANT!!!
Before trying to use these cables, you must remove the plastic dust caps. The tips of the connectors should be shiny, metal and gold. If you see a plastic tip, remove it.
