Description
AudioQuest ThunderBird BiWire Jumpers
The AudioQuest ThunderBird BiWire Jumpers employ Direction-Controlled Solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) covered with a Conductive Carbon-loaded extrusion that reduces RF pick-up.
Available with AudioQuest’s 500-Series Hanging-Silver plated Purple Copper spades or bananas on either end — simplifying the connection where the speaker cable is attached.

Features
Done right, BiWiring enables better sound for less money.
However, for various reasons, there are times when BiWiring may not be possible. For those times, AudioQuest BiWire Jumpers deliver significantly improved performance over the common stamped jumpers that are included with most BiWireable loudspeakers.
- ThunderBird BiWire Jumpers employ Direction-Controlled Solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) covered with a Conductive Carbon-loaded extrusion that reduces RF pick-up.
- ThunderBird BiWire Jumpers are 8” long and available with AudioQuest’s 500-Series Hanging-Silver plated Purple Copper spades or bananas on either end — simplifying the connection where the speaker cable is attached.
- Solid Perfect Surface Copper Conductors: Solid conductors prevent electrical and magnetic strand-interaction. PSC+ Solid-Copper minimizes distortion caused by grain boundaries and maximizes linear RF Noise-Dissipation.
- Carbon Based Noise-Dissipation: Carbon-Based Noise-Dissipation minimizes radio-frequency noise masking effects.
- Direction Controlled Conductors: A fundamental aspect of AudioQuest’s multifaceted Noise-Dissipation technology, Direction-Controlled Conductors ensure induced noise is dissipated and drained properly.
Solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+)
Solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+) conductors employ the same process as Perfect-Surface Copper (PSC) conductors but with the highest grade of copper available, maximizing the performance of a copper conductor.
Carbon-Based Noise-Dissipation
Alternating layers of metal and carbon-loaded synthetics “shield the shield,” minimizing RF noise before it reaches the layer attached to ground.
FAQ’s
- What do the AudioQuest ThunderBird BiWire Jumpers do? They bridge the high- and low-frequency binding posts on bi-wire-capable speakers, ensuring a clean, low-distortion signal path when not using separate bi-wire cables.
- Do ThunderBird Jumpers improve sound quality? Yes—by using high-purity conductors and advanced AudioQuest technology, they reduce distortion and maintain signal integrity, often resulting in better clarity, dynamics, and coherence.
- Are these jumpers compatible with all speakers? They are compatible with most speakers that feature bi-wireable binding posts. Always check your speaker’s connection layout to ensure proper fit.
- Do I still need them if I’m using bi-wire speaker cables? No—bi-wire speaker cables replace the need for jumpers. ThunderBird Jumpers are used only when connecting with single-run speaker cables.
- Are the ThunderBird Jumpers directional? Yes, like many AudioQuest products, they follow a directional signal flow. Arrow indicators on the connectors help ensure correct installation.
