DirectConnect® was born in 1996 from a request for a patch cable without a strain relief.
Years ago all interconnects were molded plastic with a large molded strain relief at each end. After exhausting all of our domestic suppliers, DirectConnect® created a new line of custom products designed by the installer and manufactured to their specifications.
The result was the first line of audio / video interconnects without a strain relief. Cables could be easily separated for left/right audio and video. They no longer snagged the back of equipment shelves when equipment was pulled forward for service or installations.
