Since 2005, Rapallo is a friendly Kiwi company focusing on the sale and installation of quality home theatre products of the highest standards. We are nothing like the big chain stores. In fact, we have been New Zealand’s largest home theatre store for some time and we do what we do really well.
Rapallo’s level of customer care and product knowledge distinguishes us from other stores. We have created a personal online (and in store) shopping experience that is nothing like the quick get-it-over-and-done-with sale. We are dedicated to providing our customers with an experience that meets their individual needs: from a simple purchase to a design-purchase-and-installation package. We're sure that is why customers come back time and again. And not just via our website as many of our customers call us to speak with us directly or pop in to see us at our demo room.
We strive to give customers the individual attention and informed advice they can’t access elsewhere. We pledge to our customers that we always get back. We answer every email and every question, big or small, and we aim to do it today, not next week. We don't sell a product just to make money when we know there is an alternative or a solution that is better value for money.
We'd love to hear from you!
I live and breathe technology and ‘gadgets’. I know the excitement and anticipation of taking the next step in the development of your audiovisual project. To me, nothing beats the experience of watching a movie with mind-blowing visuals and the most perfect sound for the very first time. With the background I have from my degree in Electronical Engineering, 25 years work experience in sales management and customer service combined with a longstanding passion for audiovisual technology, I make it my personal mission to provide our customers an individualized experience second to none.
Working in an AV environment is more than a life-long dream for me. Ask my wife and she will tell you I spend far too much money on high-end headphones, vinyl, turntables and speakers. (I know, there is no such a thing. Right?) With a Degree in Computer Science as well as extensive training in Applied Physics, the technical side of AV does not hold many secrets for me. As a matter of fact, it gives me an ideal platform to constantly find ways of doing things smarter and adding value for our customers. I like to think of myself as a man of my word and it will be no surprise that, like all Rapallo staff, providing excellent customer service and honesty are values that I live by at all times.
Chances are, you won't bump into me when you visit us in the Rapallo offices. I work in the background, taking care of all things that cover written communication at Rapallo; from the Facebook posts to the newsletters and the blogs. As a director, I strongly envision Rapallo as a company that goes beyond selling quality AV products, but also contributes to the New Zealand community of Home Theatre passionates. I mean how much better is it to help people realise their audiovisual dreams and at the same time share the excitement and knowledge with each other?
Anybody who knows me, knows I am a lover of music. I studied Music management at MAINZ (Music and Audio Institute of NZ) and play in a 4 piece alternate-rock band called Kindred Vice. At the moment, I am finishing my final year in a Bachelor of Business at AUT. Working at Rapallo for me combines the opportunity to experience the ins and outs of a small business with my passion for music. Since I started working at Rapallo, I’ve experienced some of the most beautiful audio here in the Rapallo Lab. The amazing stuff that is out there… I've built up a desktop audio set up on a student budget and I’m constantly trying to see what I can do better (recently adding the Dragonfly DAC). I love gadgets and electronics, and you often find me reading the latest tech blogs.
I am passionate about audio visual systems integration and have extensive experience in AV installation and Customer Service. I find a lot of pleasure in helping out customers with the realisation of their audiovisual dream, especially if they don't have the time, confidence or knowledge to implement it themselves. I share with Bart a keen interest in the deployment of technology solutions for highly reliable and easy to operate home automation. I have a background in the telecom industry with companies such as Telecom NZ and Nokia both in New Zealand and in the US.
