I bought the Hugo TT2 based heavily on a review from ConvinceMeAudio on youtube, he highly recommended the ZMF Pendant(which is too hard to get my hands on over here) and the Hugo TT2 with the ZMF Verite Closed that I already owned and he was not wrong, my Verites sound amazing on the Hugo, the tonality is just incredible as is the Imaging, Image Separation and
Soundstage, the level of detail is beyond what I thought these cans were capable of, it evens brings out an 'almost' Focal thump/slam quality to the Verites on some songs, I think I can finally stop buying more gear as this will be very hard for me to beat.
I'm someone who struggles with gear that's too treble focused, I could easily see the TT2's tuning being way too much for people in a similar situation, I find the VCs are a bit too warm/dark on most gear so I needed something quite detailed to balance them just right which the TT2 did.... but most gear I ran in the past I found I had to use tubes to mellow out the treble to my taste.
