Rapallo is New Zealand’s largest online home cinema shopping site. It was borne out of my frustration with the quality of advice and service that other retailers provided. Having worked as a projectionist in top Auckland and Sydney cinemas, I knew more about home theatre than most dealers. So I decided to set up a business that would offer the depth of service, knowledge and product range that I would want as a customer. Customer-first philosophy and competitive pricing is what we always try to aim for.

Rapallo’s manager, Dennis Chin, joined the company after four years’ experience working in the IT industry throughout China and Malaysia. Dennis loves to work with cutting-edge technology, enjoys photography and online gaming, and is passionate about all things home theatre. So it’s not surprising he has a genuine interest in our business – and our customers, whether it’s their need to know or desire to buy.

It’s this level of customer care and product knowledge that distinguishes us from other online sites. We have tried to create a uniquely personal online shopping experience, and I’m sure this is why customers come back time and again. (And not just via our website -- many of our customers phone to speak with us directly.) We’ll always strive to give customers the individual attention and informed advice they can’t access elsewhere online, no matter how large we grow. Our pledge to our customers is: “We will always get back you.” We will answer every email and every question, big or small, and try to do it today, not next week. We will NEVER, EVER sell a product just to make money when we know there is an alternative or a solution that might be free. Our business is all about hi-tech at home and higher standards online.
